Movie heaven. A shipboard screwball comedy by the first writer/director Preston Sturges. Barbara Stanwyck is a cardshark trying to bilk wealthy heir (and biologist) Henry Fonda out of his millions. Was there ever a movie this cynical and sincere, sexy and funny? And dig the Edith Head gowns! A must-see.
