"You'll Like My Mother" (1972)

If you enjoy the "young-girl-terrorized-and-trapped-by-a-psycho" subgenre (and who doesn't?), you'll love this tight little thriller. Patty Duke is a 'Nam vet widow going home to meet her husband's mother for the first time. In a Minnesota snowstorm. And she's pregnant. When she meets the title character--a nasty Rosemary Murphy--she knows Something's. Not. Quite. Right. And even worse, the nutzoid murder suspect cousin is lurking about too, a pre-"Waltons" Richard Thomas! A nice nail-biter til the end.
