"Sudden Fear" (1952)

Saint Joan Crawford in a nail-biting film noir chiller that still gives goosebumps. She plays a wealthy heiress playwright wooed by silver tongued ne'er-do-well Jack Palance, all rough edges and cheekbones. But he's got a girlfriend, the perpetual floozy with the bee stung lips, Gloria Graham. They try to bump off Joan...but she's got other plans. The last must-see half hour is almost dialog free and a stunner.
