A no-nonsense revenge oater with a brooding Gregory Peck as a rancher trying to track down the four outlaws who raped and murdered his wife. Like a lot of the serious westerns of the 1950's, it questions the fine line between what's right/wrong, good/bad...with some not-so-subtle religious overtones. See it for the stunning CinemaScope vistas if for nothing else. Oh, and there's Joan Collins as the Mexican heiress love interest!
